Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 April 2026
This policy explains when and how you can request a refund for AlgoRecon subscriptions. AlgoRecon is operated by Photon Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited.
1. Free trial — try before you buy
Every new user gets a 14-day free trial with full access and no credit card required. The trial is intended to let you confirm the product works for your setup before you subscribe, which means refund requests are rare in practice.
2. Monthly subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance. If you cancel during a billing period, your access continues until the period ends and the subscription is not renewed — pro-rata refunds for unused portions of the current month are not offered.
To cancel, use the customer portal linked from your Paddle receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
3. Refunds we will always honour
We will issue a refund in the following situations:
- Billing errors. If you were charged in error (duplicate charge, wrong amount, charge after confirmed cancellation), contact us and we will refund the disputed amount promptly.
- Genuine product defects. If the software cannot be used for its core purpose on a supported platform (Windows 10 / 11 with MetaTrader 5 installed) due to a defect attributable to AlgoRecon — and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time — we will refund the most recent subscription charge.
- Unauthorised charges. If a charge was made without the authorisation of the account holder (for example, by a third party with access to your Paddle account), contact us and we will work with Paddle to reverse the charge.
These refunds apply to the most recent charge (and, where appropriate, the immediately preceding charge if the issue started earlier). They do not entitle you to a refund of all historical charges.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@algorecon.com with:
- The email address associated with your AlgoRecon account.
- The approximate date of the charge and the last 4 digits of the card used (or PayPal / other Paddle payment method).
- A short description of the reason for the refund request.
We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
5. UK and EU consumer rights
If you purchased as a consumer (not as a business) resident in the UK or European Union, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. However, when you complete checkout for AlgoRecon and are immediately given access to the software and activation flow, you are expressly consenting to begin the supply of digital content and acknowledging that you lose the right of withdrawal once supply has begun, as permitted under Regulation 37(1)(a) of the 2013 Regulations. The 14-day free trial is provided so you can evaluate the product before this happens.
None of this affects your statutory rights in respect of defective or not-as-described goods or services.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we resolve the vast majority of issues quickly. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer before contacting us, we may suspend or cancel your licence until the dispute is resolved.
