Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 April 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the AlgoRecon desktop software and related services (the "Service") provided by Photon Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
AlgoRecon is a Windows desktop application that reconciles trades executed on MetaTrader 5 ("MT5") accounts against strategy outputs produced by StrategyQuant ("SQX") software. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.
2. Accounts and licenses
- A valid license key or active trial is required to use the Service beyond the trial period.
- You must provide an accurate email address when creating a trial or purchasing a subscription. This email is the identifier used for licensing and support.
- Each subscription permits activation on up to two devices concurrently.
- You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential and for all activity conducted under your account.
3. Free trial
- A 14-day free trial is available to new users and does not require payment information.
- Only one trial per device is permitted. Attempts to circumvent this limit may result in termination of access.
- At the end of the trial, the Service will cease to function unless a paid subscription is purchased.
4. Subscriptions, payment, and refunds
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance at the price listed on our pricing page.
- Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited, who issues receipts, collects applicable VAT or sales tax, and handles refunds and chargebacks on our behalf.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time via Paddle's customer portal or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused portions of a billing period. For refund requests relating to a genuine defect or billing error, please contact support@algorecon.com within 14 days of the charge.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except to the extent such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with the licensing, activation, or security features of the Service.
- Rent, lease, sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Service without our prior written consent.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
6. Third-party services
The Service interacts with third-party software and services including MetaTrader 5 and StrategyQuant. Your use of those products is governed by the agreements you have with their respective providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behaviour of third-party services.
7. Trading risk disclaimer
The Service is an informational and operational tool. It does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice. Trading in financial markets involves significant risk and may result in losses equal to or exceeding your capital. We are not financial advisors and make no representation that using the Service will result in profitable trading. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and for the performance of any trading strategies you run.
8. Warranty and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the amount you have paid us for the Service in that period. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or trading losses, regardless of the basis of the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms or if your subscription lapses. On termination you must stop using the Service. Sections 7, 8, 10, and 11 survive termination.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer in another jurisdiction whose local law grants you non-waivable rights, in which case those rights are preserved.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
